Months after Attorney General Bondi suggested an Epstein client list was sitting on her desk, DOJ and the FBI declared there was no incriminating client list and no more files would be released.
What happened
The reversal enraged many of Trump's own supporters. Trump then asked for grand jury transcripts to be unsealed and called the whole matter a Democratic scam.
Where it stands
Vice President Vance later admitted the administration absolutely mishandled the Epstein communications.
The administration's side
DOJ said an exhaustive review of more than 300 gigabytes of evidence found no basis to charge anyone else and confirmed Epstein died by suicide.
